Our History & Our Commitment To You
The INVENTORS ASSISTANCE LEAGUE was founded by Mr. Ted DeBoer in 1962, and in 1968 the I.A.L. was federally chartered as the first nonprofit, educational organization established by and for inventors.
Mr. DeBoer spent the early part of his career as a research scientist for LearJet and other companies. His interest in inventing led him to complete patent law school. There he discovered that the U.S. Patent Law gives priority protection to the first to invent -- NOT the first to file for a patent. Realizing that no one was teaching this method to individual inventors, he dedicated his life to helping inventors learn it, teaching them how to play - in his words - the "brain game".
However, Ted soon realized that protection is only a small piece of the puzzle - the challenge of getting a product in the marketplace was a much greater one. Working individually with thousands of inventors since 1962, Ted developed a creative strategy of selling or licensing ideas to manufacturers.
In 1991, Ron Ezinga met Ted DeBoer and learned of his strong desire to help inventors. Many years earlier, Ron had observed his inventor father experience the high costs and frustrations of the patent process. So when he saw how the system Ted had developed would have helped his dad, he suggested that they incorporate what Ted was teaching inventors into a self-study program. The remarkable INVENTASSIST PROGRAM was created.
This unique step-by-step program has been used by thousands of individual inventors to discover if their ideas or inventions are winners without first spending thousands of dollars!

A Personal Note from Ron...
Obviously you were interested in "doing something" with your idea(s) when you looked up our website. Far too often, people do nothing only to see their idea in the marketplace later. They've lost a potential fortune, but that doesn't have to happen to you! As it has for many folks with ideas, the INVENTASSIST PROGRAM can help you achieve your goals and make your dreams come true!
